About Azur Development and the Africa AIDS Network

Azur Development is an organisation of women who have a recognised experience in communication actions at the national and regional level. Azur Development’s mission is to provide leadership in the socio-cultural and economic development of the Congo and of Africa in General. As a non-political, non-profit organisation it encourages sustainable development and strives to give assistance to vulnerable populations. The organisation is currently active in Brazzaville (head office), Pointe-Noire, and Nkayi and houses the secretariat for the Africa AIDS Network. |
The Africa AIDS Network (Réseau SIDA Afrique) is based in Congo and has 215 institutional and individual members engaged in the fight against HIV/AIDS, malaria and tuberculosis in 17 countries of Francophone Africa.
About the Project
The project Media campaigns and systems of alert for malaria was implemented in 10 African Francophone countries: Congo, Republic Democratic of Congo, Central African Republic (CAR), Mali, Togo, Ivory Coast, Niger, Djibouti, Cameroon, and Benin.
Launched in Congo-Brazzaville in November 2007, the project was carried out by Azur Development and the African AIDS Network. Over 30 people, representing civil society organisations, the media, and WHO, were present.
