Project Outcomes

The capacity building of 65 civil society HIV/AIDS groups on malaria issues;

Engagement by the member organizations of the African AIDS Network in the advocacy and prevention actions of civil society in 9 African countries.  Some of these organizations developed country-specific malaria projects; 

Increase in malaria-specific content in public, private and community media channels;

Coalitions or networks against malaria founded and now functional in at least 3 countries;

Anti-malaria journalist clubs formed and functional;

Engagement by focal point organizations in the 9 countries in national malaria strategies and structures (departmental and/or national level);

Certain organizations have become members of national malaria task forces.
