Aims of the Project
This project aimed to create a platform to provide training, learning and the sharing of ideas amongst Members of Parliament (MPs). In this way MPs were to be equipped with the latest, current materials and reports related to malaria in Tanzania and to be trained as “Agents of Change”. These individuals were to commit themselves, together with their communities, to implement the Tanzania National Policy on Malaria control, prevention, and treatment. It also aimed to publicise the MPs advocacy campaign by involving and using the media. Specifically the project objectives were:

To conduct a lobbying and advocacy workshop on malaria prevention, treatment and care amongst the MPs.

To create a space for learning and sharing of ideas and information among the MPs, Media People and the general malaria community.

To equip the Members of Parliament with the latest and current material and report on malaria situation in the regions in Tanzania.
